So the March update is so late I'm calling it a Spring update.I'm blaming it on the unexpected massive plumbing project at the house and not on my Alabama golf outing.Unfortunately it hasn't seemed much like spring the last few days.I was in the snowy Chicago area last weekend to attend the IJC Board meeting (lots of fun plans for 24 driving) and, along with Mike and Cynthia,to represent IJC at the Chicagoland All Sports Car Swap Meet.We engaged with some prospective new members and created awareness of the club and our activities.I was amazed at the number of Jaguars we discovered were tucked away in garages and having no fun.Hopefully we convinced those folks to wake them up and join us on our drives.
We did have a few of our members attend the Chicago Auto Show and the World of Wheels.Feed back I heard was the Auto Show was disappointing but there were some cool exotics at the World of Wheels.
Our next event is a visit to the Grove historic site, River Grove Nature Center, and lunch at Bob Chin's.History, nature, and lunch-just need a little sunshine to make the day.Hope you will be there.
