Here we are in August already.It seems the driving season just started and we are already planning the fall drive.I think we all are taking a deep breath after our very successful Concours and prepping for a very busy second half.Check out the pictures from the Concours2023 IJC Concourseven the spectator parking turned into a Jaguar show!I'm spending the weekend not driving after last weekends Heartland British Autofest where my 140 took Best in Show-have to brag on her a little :) .It was a great weekend on the Mississippi.Wish we would have seen more of you there.
The end of the month brings the Fuelfed Whitworth Rally and the Geneva Concours car club parking.Then it's the Chicago British Auto Festival at Harper College.Remember if you are planning on participating in oneof these you must preregister directly with those events.Links on our event page as always.And then we have a night at Sycamore Speedway for a little short track racing at the end of the month.Details hereSycamore Speedway Night
This month we welcome new members Mitchell and Linda Biel, Louis Di Cerbo and Robin Stafford and returning members Andrew and Eve Flor.Be sure to give them a warm welcome when you meet them at an event soon.

We all know that those cats hate to sit in the dark garage so make plans to join us at an event soon.The reason we all joined a club is to enjoy the camaraderie of the other members and show off our Jaguars to the public.

September 30.Sycamore Speedway Night
We will start at a Classic Car showroom, stop for pizza, and then watch some short track racing excitement.
It was a beautiful day for a Concours at St. James Park.The new location with the covered pavilion and wide grassy field was ideal.There was a nice selection of Jaguars from the 50's to the modern with a competitive field of judged cars and many members displaying their pride and joy.Even the spectator parking turned into a Jaguar show!
Our guest speaker Burt Levy (author of the Last Open Road series) selected Greg Korak's 66 E type for the Buddy Palumbo award.The judges completed their work efficiently and awards were presented.A fine burger feast was prepared by Rick and Colleen Gunther and enjoyed under the new pavilion.
The event concluded with a fine meal at Adele's and an intriguing presentation by Burt Levy that wove his racing exploits with Jaguar history.
Congratulations and thank you's to Rick and Mike and all the judges and volunteers that made the event a success and to Jaguar Land Rover of Peoria for their sponsorship.
