November 2025
I can't believe I'm already tucking cats away for their winter hibernation. With multiple cars that have been on many events this season it's a bit like solving a Rubics cube to get them all secure in their various homes. It's been a great season with many new memories and stories. We still have one important event in 25 and that's our Holiday Party and wrap up.Read below for details of this gathering.
OnDecember 6the members of the IJC and their guests will gather at the Cress Creek Country Club to celebrate the holiday season, share the memories and stories of their Jaguar adventures in 25, enjoy live entertainment, and share a cocktail and meal.
Be sure to mark your calendar and register soon.Register now
To help stimulate thestoriesGlenn Barickman is putting together a video of our 2025.If you have photos or videos of one of our events that you have not shared with Glenn or myself please send them to us soon.We want as many memories as possible for the event.
We have 4 new membershipsto celebrate in the second half of the year:
Jeff Berger from Naperville with his Blue 96 XJS
Ron Campana and Nana Oakey-Campana from South Elgin with their XJS
Adam Levinson from Algonquin with his 2014 F-type in Italian Racing Red
Robert Zieseri and Randi Brill from Glencoe with their Silver 2007 XKR
Please welcome them at our next event.
In a bit of club business, the IJC Board would like to form an Event Advisory Committee to brainstorm event ideas and coordinate their planning. The intent of the committee is to establish the event calendar, seek out volunteers to plan the events, and to guide and assist those volunteers. If you would like to contribute to the success of our 2026 events by joining theCommittee, volunteering to plan an event, or just have event ideas you would like to share please contact Glenn Barickman (glenn.barickman@gmail.com) or myself.
As I'm going to be in the frozen north on Dec. 6 I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a joyous holiday season and a happy new year,
Ken

IJC Fall Drive
A Journey Through Architecture History, Small Cars, and Autumn Splendor
On a beautiful October morning 10 Jaguars with 18 participants aboard set out for SW Wisconsin on a quest for architectural history, small cars, and fall beauty. Our first stop was the 7 Acre Dairy in Paoli for a farm to table brunch accompanied by a string duo.It was then off to Taliesin in Spring Green to learn about Frank Lloyd Wright's development and architectural approach. The day concluded with dinner at a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club.
Sunday morning a few snuck off to the General Store for pancakes the size of hubcaps to fortify themselves for a pretty drive to the Micro Car Museum in Mazomanie. There we heard about and saw the fascinating micro cars, bikes and motorcycles collected by one German family.A few members tried them on for size.Fortunately they were allsuccessfully extracted to continue on to a very nice lunch at Bailey's Run Vineyard before the trip home.
Thank you Glenn and Jan Barickman for planning such a great event.
