Looking out my window at the snow and sleet it's hard to believe that next month we will be out for our first club event of 2025!It seems like month's ago that the club was gathered for the end of year Holiday Party. We ended the year in grand style and raised over $4000 for Drive Toward a Cure for Parkinson's.The club has been busy filling up the event calendar for 2025 and now it's time for you to get your calendar out and reserve the dates for the eventsyou are going to attendthis year.
We are going to kick off the season with a Members Appreciation Kickoff and Bocce Ball Tournament on March 30.This no cost to members event will featureHors d’oeuvres, a bocce tournament, presentation of planned events and recognition of new members such as Ed Boarini from Antioch and Ty and Lois Hodgson from Glen Ellyn who recently joined.Make your plans to join us and register here Register
There are Club events planned for every month in 2025 along with British Car events on our Event Calendar that you also may want to attend. One in particular you should consider putting on your calendar is the Champagne British Car Festival May 30th-June 1.The featured marque is Jaguar and we would like to have a strong showing of club Jaguars for the show and hopefully the entire weekend.
Event Registration Change! There has been a change to the look of the Event Registration Page.Previously, when you arrived at the Event Registration Page you would click Register Now and then on the next page select who and how many guests were coming. The pages have been consolidated. Now you enter who and how many guests are coming on the bottom of the first Event Registration Page and then click Register Now to continue on to the details of registration. It's the same process just presented differently. As with most "improvements" it's a little confusing but I'm sure we'll all get used to it.
My next Jaguar outing is the All Sports Car Swap Meet March 23 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.I'll be manning the Illinois Jaguar Club info table along with Mike Smith. Please stop by and chat.
