A touch of frost this week made me think it might be time to snuggle the cats in the barn. But then I remembered I'm heading for a fall color drive to Wisconsin this weekend-with the top down I'm sure!I hope your plan, like mine, is to keep driving our Jags until the snow and salt chase us inside.
Speaking of fall driving, we had a great turnout for our fall Planes, Trains, and Cheese drive this month. Some very interesting stops and fun driving roads.Nice to see some long time members back out on an event but disappointing that we didn't have any newer members participate. The Board is meeting to put together next years events and it would be great to hear what would bring the members and their Jaguars out to play.If you've never participated in an event please let us know what might get you out to participate.
Please welcome our newest member, Luke Weaver and his 2018 F-Pace S.
There are two events left on this years calendar, the Klairmont Collection on Nov. 2 and the Holiday Banquet on December 7.The Klairmont has been refreshed and worth returning to even if you've seen it before. The Holiday Party will include live music and a charity auction so should be fun.
We received a letter from JCNA that the national dues would increase by $10 for 2025.This is certainly not surprising with the inflationary price increases we are all experiencing. The costs of providing national competition, tool loan program, and the Jaguar Journal were not immune to inflation. The IJC has been able to maintain our treasury through prudent event management so the Board has decided to absorb $3 of the increase and our dues will be $85 next year.
If you're in the market for something a little different and exciting check out the rare 2015 XF-RS on our For Sale page.I've also recently had a couple of inquiries from heirs selling XJS's.If you might be interested in a winter refresh project contact me.
I'm headed to the shop to prep the 140 for this weekends drive.I hope you are going to get our and enjoy the fall color as we'll,
Ken
